Senior Business Systems Analyst

Seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst to support a corporate IT organization. This role focuses on designing and improving systems, documenting business requirements, and enhancing processes that increase efficiency and productivity across multiple business functions.

The successful candidate will work closely with business leaders and IT partners to analyze operations and implement system solutions that optimize key areas such as finance, procurement, sales, and warehouse management. Familiarity with ERP platforms, warehouse management systems, and distribution workflows is highly valuable.

Core Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business requirements.
• Assess current systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Create business cases, process documentation, and proposals for system enhancements.
• Translate operational needs into functional specifications and project plans.

Solution Design & Implementation

• Evaluate potential solutions and recommend approaches that align with business objectives.
• Work with developers, architects, and users to ensure practical and effective solutions.
• Prepare design proposals and feasibility assessments for leadership review.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Develop and execute test plans, including user acceptance testing, for new or updated systems.
• Verify that system changes meet requirements, are properly documented, and minimize operational disruptions.
• Review system upgrades and enhancements prior to deployment, providing actionable feedback.

Training & Support

• Prepare training materials, manuals, and reference guides for end users.
• Conduct training sessions to facilitate adoption of new tools and processes.
• Act as a primary point of contact for ongoing system support and optimization.

Leadership & Knowledge Sharing

• Mentor junior team members on methodologies, processes, and tools.
• Coordinate across teams and assist in prioritizing tasks.
• Promote best practices and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent technical training required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in systems design, analysis, and testing, with some leadership or mentoring experience.
• Strong understanding of distribution processes, including Sales-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Accounting (AP/AR), and Warehouse Management.
• Experience with ERP and warehouse management systems preferred.
• Ability to translate complex operational requirements into functional designs.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Technical Competencies

• Advanced: Application configuration, automated testing, ITIL incident management.
• Proficient: Application integration, data transport, packaged software, UI design, security considerations.
• Basic: Client/server systems, high availability, business continuity, infrastructure technology.

Mandatory Requirements

Location: Irvine, California

Salary: $115,000-$144,000

US work authorization required; no visa sponsorship provided
