Overview

Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a
Business System Analyst
with deep experience in
Asset Management
to join their team in
Irvine, CA
. This role plays a key part in bridging business and technology functions, ensuring smooth execution across the full trade lifecycle—from portfolio management to regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather, document, and refine functional and technical requirements.
  • Support portfolio management, trading, confirmation & settlement, and regulatory/client reporting initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to translate business needs into actionable solutions.
  • Manage and prioritize backlogs, ensuring timely delivery of enhancements and features.
  • Perform data analysis using
    SQL
    ; identify trends, validate datasets, and support reporting initiatives.
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies and maintain documentation in
    JIRA
    and
    Confluence
    .
  • Communicate complex findings and recommendations effectively to senior stakeholders across business and IT.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in
    Asset Management
    across portfolio management, trading, and post-trade workflows.
  • Solid understanding of
    financial products
    , ideally
    Fixed Income
    .
  • Expertise in the
    order and trade lifecycle
    , including pre-trade, execution, and post-trade processes.
  • Proficiency in
    SQL
    (required);
    Python
    experience is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with
    Agile
    methodology and tools such as
    JIRA
    and
    Confluence
    .
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
