POSITION SUMMARY

The Employee Engagement Specialist will join a collaborative team responsible for delivering large-scale, high-impact events and experiences—both in-person and virtual. This team drives the signature Newrez "Care Fiercely" culture, so the ideal candidate brings a positive, action-oriented, and can-do spirit to everything they do.

As an Employee Experience Specialist, you will play a key role in executing meaningful engagement programs that foster connection, support employee development, and enhance the overall workplace experience across all levels of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

Program Management

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of both virtual and in-person engagement and experience programs for employees, including flagship and new programs
  • Manage the planning, scheduling, logistics, communications and evaluation of engagement programs for five core sites at the company, with attention to a virtual experience wherever possible for employees at non-core sites
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure smooth execution of programs and events
  • Track program metrics and outcomes to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
  • Maintain detailed project plans, timelines and budgets for learning initiatives
  • Utilize trends and insights to improve employee communications and bring innovative ideas.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Build strong relationships with internal teams to ensure alignment between engagement initiatives, resource planning, and business goals
  • Build strong relationships with external stakeholders and partners
  • Support and advise the DE&I and Newrez NOW leaders with event planning and programs

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of professional work experience in employee engagement, program management, communications, marketing or HR.
  • Experience in organizational event planning.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

  • Ability to effectively communicate and articulate thoughts and ideas.
  • Knowledge of Smartsheet and Canva as well as internal engagement platforms related to employee experience including intranet and rewards
  • Experience managing registrations, tracking attendance and reporting on program outcomes
  • Ability to leverage data and analytics to assess the impact of engagement programs and recommend improvements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentations to senior stakeholders
  • Self-directed and comfortable working with ambiguity and uncertainty.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to thrive in a performance-driven environment
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
