Summary

The Employee Relations, Senior Specialist provides guidance, support and counsel to managers and employees on all employee relations issues within established parameters. Assists in the development of plans and programs to guide and train employees on employee relations issues. Facilitates company approved employee training sessions and guidance meetings.

Your role in our mission
  • Assists in the review of current employee relations policies, practices and procedures for the organization to ensure uniformity of application and compliance with company policy. Assists in developing materials to communicate new programs, policies and/or changes to the organization to ensure up to date knowledge of human resources policies and practices.
  • Investigates employee complaints and disputes; documents, recommends disciplinary action and/or appropriate resolution. Works with senior level personnel corporate staff and/or legal counsel as appropriate.
  • Conducts internal audits of employee relations issues such as employee turnover, hiring, transfer and promotion practices, exit interviews, etc. to identify trends or situations that need training, counseling or reprimand. Recommends action(s) to resolve issues.
  • Facilitates company approved training programs to enhance manager/employee coaching, communication and feedback programs that enhance employee satisfaction and to resolve misunderstandings before they escalate.
  • Assists in advising management and employees regarding the interpretation and application of human resources policies, programs and issues. Reviews unusual or complex matters of significance with senior level personnel prior to consult.
  • Conducts termination interviews, identifies potential employee relations issues, recommends action and implements as approved.
  • Reviews existing and proposed statutory requirements governing human resources practices and recommends appropriate courses of action to change company policy, procedure or practice.
  • Maintains metrics need to comply with legislative and internal requirements. Prepares, analyzes and distributes reports as appropriate within company guidelines and confidentiality requirements.
What we're looking for
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, industrial relations, liberal arts or related field preferred
  • Six (6) or more years of human resources or employee relations experience required
  • Experience working with human resources principles, practices and procedures required
  • Experience working with human resources laws and regulations required
What you should expect in this role
  • This is a full-time permanent regular salaried (W-2) employee position.
  • Monday through Friday work schedule (40 hours per week).

  • New employees are eligible to take advantage of flexible vacation policy after ninety (90) calendar days of employment. Any exception requires manager approval prior to employee's Gainwell start date.
  • Company provided computer for work use.
  • For all hybrid and remote positions employees' Broadband Internet connections, should have a minimum speed of 24MBS download and 8 MBS upload. Greater speeds will of course provide better performance.
  • Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation if hired.

The pay range for this position is $64, $92,200.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
