PRIMARY PURPOSE

This position will be based out of Woodland, CA and is not a remote position. Responsibilities include, detail-oriented and analytical team member to support the Operations Manager by handling a wide range of operational and administrative tasks, ensuring smooth daily operations. This role sits at the intersection of business operations and data analytics, playing a key part in driving efficiency, ensuring data integrity, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.

DR3 stands for Divert, Recycle, Reduce and Reuse. The DR3 team oversees and executes tasks related to our mattress recycling facilities located in Woodland & Stockton, CA.

This position requires 70% of time working in the office and 30% in the warehouse, with frequent travel. Travel between recycling locations, travel to the headquarters in OR on a quarterly basis, and site visits with recycling partners in CA is required. The base location will be the Woodland site.

This position includes a two-week initial training period in Oregon.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Track data trends and report to Operations Manager and Executive Coordinator.
  • Support daily operational processes to ensure business functions run smoothly.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for standard operating procedures.
  • Work with Operations Manager to ensure facilities are well-organized, focusing on safety and ensuring company standards.
  • Draft professional communication for internal and external parties.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports to support operations and strategy teams.
  • Monitor performance metrics and help enforce compliance with internal policies.
  • Assist the Operations Manager in planning and executing operational strategies.
  • Support Operations Manager with daily tasks pertaining to required paperwork and data tracking.
  • Visit vendor and customer sites to increase communication
  • Review and understand Standard Operating Procedures, Policy & Procedures and other required guidelines to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Support the DR3 team with tracking all incoming and outgoing commodities.
  • Complete regularly scheduled internal audits to daily reporting and data entry for accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Assist with completing required data entry and auditing.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with process improvement frameworks (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, SMART goals)
  • Familiarity with workflow automation tools.
  • Previous experience in project management and improving policies/procedures to create safe and equitable workplaces.
  • Previous experience working with multi-lingual populations and diverse backgrounds.
  • Prefer Bilingual (Spanish)
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, specifically experience in Excel is required.
  • Demonstrated excellent time management, communication and leadership skills. Must be adaptable and dependable. Must be able to prioritize tasks and be flexible with changes in job duties.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and decisiveness.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and following a timeline and budget.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team
  • Ability and willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Ability and willingness to travel is required to meet the needs of the job.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, valuing teamwork and organization.
