Senior Accountant
About the Role
This is a strategic accounting role with real influence. You'll lead the charge on financial reporting, bring clarity to complex data, and collaborate across teams to drive smarter decisions. Your work will shape how we manage performance, support audits, and scale a growing portfolio of development and investment projects, all while improving the systems behind the numbers.
What You'll Own
Drive journal entries and close cycles with precision across monthly, quarterly, and annual periods.
Ensure ledger accuracy and proper classification of complex transactions.
Manage fixed asset activity, including acquisitions, depreciation, amortization, and disposals.
Maintain roll-forward schedules for notes payable, fixed assets, and retained earnings.
Craft GAAP-compliant financials and footnote disclosures.
Support audits and tax filings with clean schedules and documentation.
Oversee development accounting with timely cost tracking and capitalization.
Partner with Property Managers on budgets, variance analysis, and performance reviews.
Engineer smarter processes that scale cleanly and stand up to scrutiny.
What We'd Like
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
3+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, including project-based cost tracking, capitalization, and closeout
Strong command of GAAP, fixed asset accounting, and multi-entity consolidations
Advanced Excel proficiency (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros)
Clear communicator with adaptability, initiative, and a proactive mindset.
