We're looking for a thoughtful and experienced Senior Manager of Accounting to lead our technical accounting and internal controls functions. As we rapidly transform and modernize our accounting processes and controls, the successful candidate will be an active participant in these evolving innovation efforts and key partner and advisor to our finance and business leaders.
What You'll Do
Technical Accounting
- Serve as the go-to expert for complex accounting matters, including revenue recognition, leases, equity, and acquisitions.
- Lead the adoption and implementation of new accounting standards and ensure alignment with U.S. GAAP and localized GAAP requirements for our international subsidiaries.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and technical documentation that reflect Slalom's evolving business.
- Partner cross-functionally with other teams to assess accounting implications of strategic initiatives.
- Support external audit engagement and drive resolution of technical issues.
Internal Controls
- Drive the ongoing development of our internal controls program with a focus on developing controls over financial reporting that align with best practices under COSO 2013 and Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Lead annual risk assessments and collaborate with/ advise stakeholders to strengthen control environments.
- Drive continuous improvement in control design, documentation, and testing processes and provide strategic advising to Accounting and Finance leaders in these areas.
- Partner with finance leaders and external auditors to facilitate walkthroughs and testing.
- Lead board/ management reporting around internal controls development & deficiencies
- Manage a small team of internal controls/ finance risk professionals
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with public accounting experience required (preferably Big 4) and consulting/advisory roles with exposure to technical accounting and internal controls preferred.
- Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls development and compliance.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with a collaborative and inclusive approach.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; keen ability to operate in ambiguity and provide structured guidance
- Self-starter with agility to shift between big-picture thinking and detail level execution as needed
- Experience with ERP systems and internal control platforms a plus

Compensation And Benefits

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is $140,000 to $180,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
