Overview
As a Medication Management Specialist at Novant Health, you will be an integral part of our healthcare team, collaborating with colleagues to provide optimal care. You will be responsible for managing and providing care in line with current policies and procedures while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support for prior authorization requests, ensuring timely processing and resolution.
  • Assist with financial assistance processes, helping patients access affordable medications.
  • Assess and collect data from clients to resolve prescription status issues.
  • Serve as a resource for clients, offering guidance and information about medication management.
  • Exercise judgment and professional etiquette in all interactions with clients/customers.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Contribute to a team-oriented, results-driven environment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring professionalism and confidence in every interaction.

What We're Looking For

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years experience in pharmacy, required.
  • Licensure/Certification: PTCB Certification, required.
  • Additional Skills Required: Considerable knowledge of medication names (both trade and generic) and their doses, routes of administration and adverse effects. Demonstrates patient interview skills and strong written and verbal communication skills with other healthcare professionals. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Basic technology skills. Other duties as outlined in Novant Health and facility specific policies and procedures. Ability to drive/travel to multiple facilities/locations as needed.
