- 3rd Shift

Qualifications:

  • Sr. Industrials Automation Maintenance Mechanic (PLCs) - Permanent/Direct Hire
  • Repair, maintain, and support equipmen
    t on both Aerosol and Hair Care Packaging lines to maximize productivity and quality, including changeovers, set-ups,
    installation
    , and adjustments. Advanced skills and knowledge of the repair and maintenance of electro-
    mechanical equipment
    , electric motors, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, conveyor systems,
    PLCs
    , bearings, shafts, production machines, and liquid filling equipment
    are required.
  • A key aspect of this role is troubleshooting machine downtime events and utilizing root cause analysis techniques to identify and resolve issues at their source.
  • Specification of the necessary graduation and vocational training, considering recent educational requirements that are needed to fulfil the above-mentioned tasks of the position.
  • High School graduate, or equivalent, or… An associate degree in mechanical technology, electrical technology, or engineering science is a plus.

    read blueprints
    , possess advanced mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills, and have production maintenance work experience.
  • Initiative/motivation and communication skills required.
  • Overall work experience (years)
    7-plus years' mechanic experience
    , preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • The position is in the factory and could involve standing, walking, and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Occasionally, this position may require the lifting and/or moving of more than 60 pounds.
  • All lifting must comply with OSHA standards.

Responsibilities
:

  • Main tasks & responsibilities
  • Diagnose, repair,
    and maintain all packaging and support equipment
    to optimize efficiency and quality.
  • Conducts line changeovers and makes necessary set-up and adjustments as required by the production schedule.
  • Perform line alteration, rebuilding as necessary.
  • Utilize data from both CMMS and MES to analyse and solve both routine and complex electrical and mechanical problems of processing, packaging, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Assist manufacturing personnel with process-related problems
  • Perform established Preventive Maintenance. Identify and correct mechanical/electrical maintenance issues found during the PM process.
  • Assist Engineering on equipment installations.
  • Repair and fabricate parts
    as required.
  • Operate forklift trucks as required to move equipment or materials.
  • Assist and train team members in simple adjustments and maintenance

Other duties as assigned

  • Diagnose, repair, changeover, and maintain all packaging and support equipment to optimize efficiency and quality.
  • Perform established Preventive Maintenance. Identify and correct mechanical/electrical maintenance issues found during the PM process
  • Continuous Improvements and problem-solving initiatives to include analysing data to identify machine downtime issues and coming up with root cause and preventive measures
  • Train team members in simple adjustments and maintenance
