Job Summary

Under supervision, Regional PrEP Coordinator will provide general oversight of PrEP services for CCHIP's PrEP Clinics including, SSHARC (Blue Island Health Center, Cottage Grove Health Center, Robbins Health Center) Provident Hospital, Englewood Health Center and any other CCH/ACHN facility where PrEP services are provided. The Coordinator will assist in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of the CCHIP's regional PrEP program as well as the creation of service protocols. Will monitor outcomes and program's scopes and makes recommendations to insure the monthly, quarterly and yearly scopes are met. Conducts program evaluation to assess programmatic and procedural outcomes. Provide monthly quality assurance assessments and on a quarterly basis through scope numbers and direct observation. Prepare and summate progress reports to supervisors and CCHIP leadership and monthly/quarterly reports collaboratively with CCHIP Data Team members at each site. This position is grant funded, with the potential of being renewed. 

Typical Duties

Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of protocols and procedures related to HIV/STI counseling and testing as well as PrEP education, assessments, and referrals for initiation in any of the CCHIP sites or any other CCH sites where PrEP services is provided.Assigns PrEP Navigators and Peer Educators to specific CCHIP and PrEP clinic sessions in the different sites.Provides training and daily supervision for PrEP Navigators and Peers and conducts annual performance evaluation with individual staff.Serve as a PrEP resource to the different CCHIP sites throughout CCH to staff and patients.Maintains best prevention/PrEP practices and shares knowledge of procedure in the different CCHIP sites.Participate as a team member assisting colleagues and staff as necessary to attend training sessions and institutional meetings.Serve as a PrEP Navigator in PrEP clinic sessions in the different CCHIP sites.Coordinates staff meetings and continuing education programs to update PrEP Navigation, Peer educators and clinic staff on new or revised procedures while maintaining PrEP services coverage. Participates in all CCHIP administrative, Domain 1 & 3 and staff development meetings, representing PrEP, community-based HIV testing services issues, activities, goals and outcomes.Assists in review and assessment of the current PrEP services/procedures in the different CCHIP sites and in the implementation of the best practices.Creates new procedures at site where PrEP services are not efficient or needs improvement.Works with the CCHIP PCMH Director and the multidisciplinary team of each CCHIP site to improve PrEP services and better utilize existing resources.Monitors procedures and outcomes and make recommendationsMonitors program monthly and quarterly scopesProduces reports for supervisors, and CCHIP administration and funders in a timely matter.Works together with the other Regional CCHIP Coordinators (Regional Community Testing coordinator, PrEP West Region) in the implementation of PrEP and Community based HIV Testing services and serve as a backup.

Minimum Qualifications

Highschool diploma or GED is required (Must provide copy of diploma at the time of interview)Three (3) years of experience in HIV testing, health education and PrEP counseling is requiredOne (1) year of supervisory and/or managerial experience is requiredPosition requires moderate travel for which the employee must have a valid driver's license in good standing and access to an insured vehicle is requiredMust be able to work flexible hours outside of a usual day shift schedule that may include evenings and weekends is required

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a health-related field, education, psychology or social science from an accredited college or university is preferred (Must provide official transcript at the time of interview)

This position is functioning within a healthcare environment. The incumbent is responsible for adherence to all hospital and department specific safety requirements.
