Regional Director of Event Fundraising

Northern Illinois

Ducks Unlimited has an opening for a full-time Regional Director of Event Fundraising located in Northern Illinois. The position will report to Jim King, Director of Fundraising. The target start date is (November 15, 2025), or as soon as mutually agreed.

The Regional Director's duties and responsibilities encompass the management of all facets of event fundraising within the region including:

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and training of volunteers
  • Managing volunteer efforts in support of Ducks Unlimited fundraising events
  • Fostering growth within the region with emphasis on new chapter development; internal growth within existing committees; identification and development of non-traditional fundraising opportunities and major donor identification and management
  • Coordination and collaboration with the Northern Illinois fundraising team and volunteers

Qualifications:

Experience and Education: At a minimum, a BA or BS from an accredited institution will benefit candidates, not required. Volunteer experience with non-profit organizations will benefit candidates and volunteer experience with Ducks Unlimited is desired.

Communication Skills: Applicants must be self-motivated and eager to accept challenging goals. This position requires an aptitude for building and managing relationships with a diverse group of volunteers with an emphasis on effective verbal and written communication skills.

Technological Proficiency: Candidates must be able to work with proficiency on a personal computer with basic skills in MS Office applications and have a working familiarity with the Internet. The successful candidate will be required to develop computer skills specific to Ducks Unlimited Inc.'s standardized information systems.

Candidates must be willing to work hours that extend well outside of the typical workday and workweek throughout the year, including extensive auto travel throughout the state and region.

The selected candidate should and will be expected to reside in a mutually agreed upon location in the Northern Illinois region.

SALARY: Salary commensurate with experience.
