At SDL, the Billing/Revenue Specialist is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end revenue cycle, including billing, invoicing, collections, and revenue recognition. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and efficient cash flow management. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance teams to optimize revenue processes and drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the billing and invoicing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness, which includes understanding CRM (HubSpot) processes.
- Lead collections efforts to minimize outstanding receivables and improve cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards (e.g., ASC 606) and internal policies.
- Collaborate with Sales and Legal teams to review contracts for revenue implications.
- Monitor and analyze revenue metrics, trends, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop and maintain documentation for revenue processes and controls.
- Implement and optimize systems and tools to automate and streamline revenue operations including monthly reconciliations and MRR rollforwards.
- Prepare and present revenue-related reports to senior leadership.
- Support audits and ensure timely responses to auditor inquiries related to revenue.
- Work with third party resellers to ensure timely payment of invoices.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in revenue operations, billing, or accounting.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and billing platforms.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in SaaS or subscription-based business models.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot or Salesforce).

- Start date: Immediate
- Salary Range: $70,000-$100,000 plus bonus
- Status: Full Time/Exempt
