Position Overview:
The Clinical Operations Director will lead and mentor primary care providers (PCPs) within assigned centers. This role is vital in ensuring the highest level of clinical quality, efficiency, outcomes, and satisfaction among clinicians and patients. You will commit a portion of your time to direct patient care as a PCP or in other clinical roles, while the rest will focus on leadership responsibilities, including enhancing PCP performance and fostering a robust clinical-operations synergy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exemplary care for patients with acute and chronic conditions, particularly older adults.
- Take full accountability for patient outcomes, working collaboratively with specialists when necessary.
- Engage proactively with hospitalists for patients receiving inpatient care.
- Conduct thorough assessments, diagnoses, treatments, management strategies, education, and documentation for patients with complex health needs.
- Lead a dedicated care team, including care promoters (medical assistants), care facilitators, and care coordinators.
- Collaborate with transitional care teams for patients unable to visit the office, ensuring continuity of care in various settings.
- Facilitate weekly Super Huddles and Transforming Care Meetings, stepping in for center clinical leadership as needed.
- Play a pivotal role in center management, contributing to patient and provider recruitment as necessary.
- Mentor and coach PCPs to achieve outstanding clinical outcomes through daily collaboration.
- Work closely with the Center Operations Director to enhance center performance and membership growth.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Willingness to travel locally and occasionally for training or recruitment purposes.
- Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing; additional language proficiency may be required at certain centers.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment in decision-making.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a similar specialty is required.
- Active MD licensure in your state of employment is mandatory.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting is preferred.
- Must complete Chen Medical training as part of your individual development plan.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a similar specialty is preferred; Board eligibility is required.
- Must possess a current DEA number for controlled substances.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first 90 days of employment.
Compensation:
$231,876 - $331,251 Salary
