As a Clinical Director Associate, you will play a pivotal role in supervising and training primary care providers (PCPs) at your assigned center. You will oversee the execution of our core clinical model, focusing on improving quality, efficiency, patient outcomes, and satisfaction levels for both clinicians and patients. Your role will blend patient care as a primary care provider with essential leadership duties to cultivate a thriving clinical environment.

  • Provide compassionate and competent care for patients with both acute and chronic conditions, especially in older adults.
  • Champion patient care accountability and collaborate with specialists as required while managing comprehensive patient care plans.
  • Engage and support the hospitalists for patients during hospital stays, regardless of hospital affiliation.
  • Assume responsibility for assessment, diagnosis, treatment, health education, and coordination for patients with complex health needs.
  • Lead a dedicated care team, including medical assistants, care facilitators, and coordinators, to optimize patient care.
  • Collaborate with transitional care teams for patients unable to visit the office, spanning hospitals, skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), and homebound situations.
  • Facilitate weekly Super Huddles and Transforming Care Meetings, supporting clinical leadership initiatives and monitoring daily patient census.
  • Actively participate in center management tasks, assist in patient recruitment, and engage in recruiting and interviewing new providers.
  • Mentor and coach PCPs to enhance clinical outcomes and foster a culture of excellence through daily huddles.
  • Work closely with Center Operations Directors to align clinical and operational goals and improve financial performance.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty.
  • Current, active medical licensure in your state of employment.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a geriatric, adult, or family practice is preferred.
  • Completion of ChenMed training, including Masterful Conversations and various facilitation techniques, is part of professional development.
  • Board certification in relevant specialties is preferred, while board eligibility is required.
  • MUST possess a current DEA number for relevant controlled substances.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as mandated by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, required within the first 90 days of employment.

Compensation: Expect a competitive salary range of $231,876 - $331,251, alongside a comprehensive benefits package.
