Job Description A Commercial Lines Account Manager at an independent insurance agency plays a pivotal role in managing and servicing commercial insurance accounts. Key Responsibilities Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary liaison between clients, insurance carriers, and internal teams, ensuring client needs are met promptly and effectively. Policy Administration: Handle all aspects of policy management, including quoting, binding, issuing certificates, processing endorsements, and managing renewals. Coverage Analysis: Review and analyze clients' insurance needs, providing consultative advice on coverage options, exclusions, and exposures. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the agency management system, documenting all communications and transactions. Collaboration with Producers: Work closely with producers to support new business development and ensure seamless service delivery to clients. Client Education: Educate clients on policy terms, audit procedures, and risk management strategies to help them make informed decisions. Qualifications and Skills Licensing: Active Property & Casualty insurance license is typically required. Experience: Prior experience in commercial lines account management, preferably within an independent agency setting Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with agency management systems (e.g., Applied Epic, AMS360) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to interact effectively with clients and team members. Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
