If you are seeking a career that is challenging and rewarding, a work environment that is diverse and dynamic, look no further — Haemonetics is your employer of choice.Job DetailsThe Clinical Specialist will work with the Regional Sales Director and Account Manager within a defined geographic area to:Meet with existing and potential customers (e.g., physicians, physician office groups at hospitals)Identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient careDiscuss and demonstrate how the company’s interventional products can help them achieve their goals and meet patient/client needsBy providing case coverage, the Clinical Specialist will contribute to:Achieving projected sales goalsSupporting company objectivesIncreasing sales revenueESSENTIAL DUTIES:Collaborate with the Account Manager to provide quality case coverage and clinical outcomes for patientsServe as the primary clinical resource for clinical support, troubleshooting, and in-service education for company productsInform customers on the latest product, therapy, and technology developments by actively engaging in procedural and technical discussionsDemonstrate the ability to link clinical data to key messagingMeet with existing and potential customers to understand their clinical needs, goals, and constraints, and provide creative and feasible solutions using company productsCollaborate and communicate account and other requested information to the local Account Manager on a daily basisShare insights on competitive products and account issues/opportunities with the appropriate Territory Manager or Clinical SpecialistEducate customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of company productsOversee local education and training activities, including coordination of programs, procedural troubleshooting, and facilitation of staff educationIdentify, establish, and maintain productive working relationships with key decision makers, customers, and administrative staffSupport monitoring of product inventory levelsQUALIFICATIONS:BA/BS or equivalent Medical training (RT, RCIS, Surgical Tech, RN, NP, or First Assistant)PreferredMinimum 5+ years. Direct experience in the medical device industry. Strong clinical orientation, with experience in interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, vascular, or cardiac surgery.SKILLS:Excellent interpersonal skills and strong clinical orientation with the ability to influence a variety of clinician, nurse, and lab tech personality typesAbility to persuasively communicate and tailor the Vascular Closure Value PropositionAnalytical with financial acumen (understanding of how product performance and data impacts a health system’s bottom line)Ability to maintain professionalism while managing sensitive and confidential mattersExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAttention to detail for maintaining records and processing reportsStrong knowledge of the medical device market, products, and customer baseEmotional intelligence to manage schedules effectively and efficientlyPrevious industry experience preferably in the Cardiovascular space, calling on:ElectrophysiologistsInterventional CardiologistsVascular SurgeonsInterventional RadiologistsHospital administrators and clinical staffPrevious experience with vascular closure and clinical education/training is preferredValues teamwork and collaborationProficient in Microsoft Office systemsPHYSICAL DEMANDS:Stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlLift/move up to 10 poundsExposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and/or moderate noise levelsExposure to hazardous chemicals or other materialsExposure to bloodOther (please specify):TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS:25% travel requiredThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
