Marketing Relations Manager

The Musco Marketing Team is seeking a Relations Manager to work in Oskaloosa, IA. In this role, you will manage key relationships, enhance Musco’s image in the marketplace through national expositions and partnership programs, monitor the marketplace, and help assess how marketing initiatives impact customers.

What you will do as a Relations Manager
National Tradeshows: Enhance Musco’s image in target marketplaces
- Research opportunities, budget, plan and attend national tradeshows to achieve the highest value
- Qualify organizations, marketplaces, and potential customers
- Survey competitive products, industry trends and Musco market penetration
Partnership programs: Manage investment to create added value for Musco and the partner groups
- Build and maintain relationships with key partnership leadership
- Develop systems to assess value and ensure fulfillment of commitments
- Explore opportunities within programs to increase the chances we find out about lighting projects early in the planning stages and to integrate into the sales process
- Develop a long-range vision for each major partnership with a focus on education, safety, and excellence.
- Evaluate requests
Marketplace assessment: Work with the developmental Team to monitor the marketplace and to test how marketing initiatives impact customers
Mentoring: Provide mentorship and education to assist with sales/marketing Team development and implementation of marketing initiatives
What you need to be successful
- Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 7 years experience working with Musco’s primary markets: municipalities, schools, and private organizations
- Knowledge of the operating structure of the municipal, school, and private industry
- Big picture visioning and planning skills
- Proven communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated organizational and follow-through skills
- Desire and ability to travel approximately 50% to attend shows, events and meetings – including evenings and weekends.
