Key Job Elements

Duties and responsibilities:
• Perform monthly closing activities, to include journal entry preparation, account analysis, and account reconciliations including detailed supporting schedules;
• Engage with operations management to assist in preparing and analyzing annual budgets, as well as monthly and quarterly forecasts;
• Manage inventory cost accounting processes, ensuring cost and quantity accuracy;
• Responsible for Accounts Payable, Customer Invoicing, and Accounts Receivable for multiple Signal locations;
• Implement and ensure adherence to SOX controls;
• Ensure timely submission of supporting documentation for all internal and external audit requests;
• Lead or participate in special projects for the Signaling team as needed;
• Prepare ad hoc analysis and reporting for internal management as requested;
• Other duties as assigned.

Education / Training

• BS Degree in Accounting or Finance;
• CPA, CMA or MBA is a plus;
• Five years or more related experience; preferred.

Qualifications and Experience

• Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP);
• Experience with inventory cost accounting and processes in a manufacturing environment;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
• Infor LN or other ERP systems and Cognos/TM1 Reporting knowledge is a plus;
• Must demonstrate analytical skills and general knowledge of accounting processes;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Strong organization skills; able to consistently meet deadlines;
• Ability to work independently and contribute to a team environment;
• Experience in financial analysis, budgeting and cost accounting is required.
