Job Description:

We’re looking for a customer-obsessed Product Marketing Manager to join our team of collaborative marketers, who embraces diverse perspectives and trying new things. As a Product Marketing Manager, you are focused on the customer and business outcomes, you are great at cross-group collaboration, you are a natural listener and simplifier. You look end to end across the business from marketing campaigns to readiness to product strategy to partner to field to competitors. There are many facets to this role, so your prioritization skills will be important and it’s a great role to get broad visibility to continue to grow your career.


Responsibilities
  • Partnering closely with and influencing engineering to adopt a customer obsessed mindset and keep a pulse on evolving market trends
  • Delivering a compelling value proposition of the product across messaging and content
  • Drive awareness by creating marketing assets like demo videos, blogs, emails, content, webinars, and more.
  • Working closely with other product marketers to unify the story of our leading point solutions
  • Using market and compete analysis to influence your GTM plans
  • Collaborate with the security GTM team to drive sales enablement and scale marketing initiatives
  • Identify broader industry themes and work across marketing and product groups to unify capabilities into a strong Client-level story.
Requirements
  • Years of Experience Required: 8-10 overall years of experience in the field.
  • Degrees or certifications required: Bachelor's degree is required to be eligible for this role, unless they meet all of the requirements and skills the client is looking for.
  • Disqualifiers: Candidates with job hopping every 8 months will not be eligible for the role.
  • Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain extensive experience in core product marketing management (PMM) roles within the cybersecurity industry, demonstrating a deep understanding of both the technical and competitive landscape.
  • Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on meeting deadlines, quality of work, and stakeholder feedback.
Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience:
  1. Minimum 8-10 years experience with messaging and positioning.
  2. Minimum 8/10years experience with creating marketing assets like blogs and general content.
  3. Minimum 8-10 years experience with in working with product management (PM) and/or engineering product groups.
Typical Day in the Role:

  • Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is core product marketing team, working closely with engineering on product development. They define all inbound and outbound messaging for sales readiness and collaborate with business units on licensing and go-to-market challenges. While many teams are called product marketing, this team focuses on core products and works extensively with product marketing. Given that their work is part of the security suite, it is quite technical and primarily B2B.
  • Key projects: This role will contribute to a messaging refresh that the team is currently working on with engineering and a partner product marketing team within their organization. Additionally, in March, the team will be hosting a significant first-party digital event, which will be crucial.
  • Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of 50% meetings and 50% working on various work streams.
