Clatsop Care Retirement Village of Astoria, OR is currently hiring for a driven part-time weekend relief-shift Cook to provide the residents in our retirement community with three delicious and nutritious meals a day. This cook position works a part-time schedule, earns a competitive pay, depending on experience. We are local industry leaders and believe that hard work can also be fun.

ABOUT CLATSOP CARE RETIREMENT VILLAGE
Clatsop Care Retirement Village is a part of Clatsop Care Health District that provides a variety of services to meet each individual's needs. We have many services, including assisted living, short-term and long-term care, nursing homes, retirement communities, memory care, hospice, palliative, and in-home care. We are focused on providing the highest quality service and care to meet the physical, social, and emotional needs of our community. Requirements:KITCHEN COOK REQUIREMENTSAs our part-time Cook, you arrive each day determined to ensure that every meal that leaves our kitchen lives up to our standards of quality. You grill, fry, and prepare proteins, vegetables, and soups as well as plate desserts. To ensure guest satisfaction, you carefully follow recipes as well as assemble and plate food in an appealing manner. Your attention to detail ensures that each dish meets our established guidelines in every aspect as well as adheres to any special requests.To make sure that properly cooked food gets out to diners in a timely manner, you communicate effectively with other kitchen and front-of-house staff while working in an organized, coordinated, and efficient manner. You maintain the cleanliness of food prep areas at all times and follow food sanitation standards to the letter. You love working in a fast-paced culinary environment. Your friendly attitude and professional approach towards coworkers, senior residents, and family members alike, contribute greatly to the success of our retirement community.
