Quality Conveyor Solutions (QCS), a Singer Industrial Company, is searching for a technical and aggressive Outside Sales Representative in the Baltimore, Maryland area. Singer Industrial is one of America’s largest Industrial Distributors with a North American footprint of approximately 100 locations with over 1,400 employees. Singer Industrial strives to efficiently improve customer productivity with innovative industrial solutions, while providing employee growth and opportunity.
QCS, is a distributor, fabricator, and on-site servicing company specializing in industrial conveyor systems in food, confection, snack food, candy, beverage, canning, corrugated, printing, package handling, distribution centers, postal, cosmetics, power transmission, recycling, and wood working.
Job Summary:
The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and achieving sales targets. This role requires a self-starter with excellent communication and negotiation skills who can work independently and as part of a team. Territory and product line(s) offer a broad range of selling opportunities, limited only by the effort expended. To be successful the right candidate must be known as (or become) a reliable resource for your customers and not just an “off-the-shelf product”. Applicant must be equally comfortable in an office setting as well as in the field with end users.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop an established sales territory and maintain customer relationships.
- Implement sales strategies.
- Meet sales revenue and profit goals.
- Open and develop new markets.
- Communicate and resolve customer issues.
- Track market (competitive strategies, price levels, trends).
- Forecast individual Sales Volume.
- Develop and maintain customer surveys (type and quantity of products).
- Work with inside sales team to service and grow existing accounts.
- Routinely travel to customer locations within sales territory.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Sales experience preferred but not required
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
