Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional

We are seeking for a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) to join our team You will be responsible for providing a variety of professional services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The successful candidate will ensure that individuals receive quality services, develops a plan of care, and ensures that their rights are protected. The QIDP also provides guidance and support to families and other professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify service needs
- Monitor and document the progress of individuals
- Advocate for individuals in various settings
- Provide training and guidance to families in the care of individuals
- Ensure that all services are provided in a safe and secure environment
- Participate in interdisciplinary teams to coordinate services
- Provide guidance and support to individuals and families regarding services and resources
- Participate in professional development activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field or related field
- Minimum two years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Current certification as a QIDP
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations regarding services for individuals with disabilities
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to work with a diverse population
- Experience/ knowledge working in a healthcare agency
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Ability to work with scheduled tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
