Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Caregiver for Individuals with Disabilities to join our team in the Washington DC area.

About the Role

This is an independent contractor opportunity that requires a strong passion for assisting individuals with daily activities, accompanying them to appointments, performing light housekeeping duties, running errands, and providing companionship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their daily lives
  • Provide guidance on social skills, transportation, health and personal hygiene, food preparation, and housekeeping
  • Assist with transportation to appointments, community events, and outings
  • Teach independent living skills as needed
Requirements
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent
  • Minimum of six (6) months experience in social services or supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
  • Demonstrated ability in strong communication and computer skills
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to interact with clients and consumers in a positive manner within the community
Compensation and Benefits
