The Senior Direct Support Professional (DSP) role: As a Senior Direct Support Professional (DSP) at our Madison, ME residential program, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism. Your responsibilities will include providing compassionate care, serving as a role model, and encouraging clients to achieve their highest level of independence both at home and within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal Care & Support: Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, medication administration, and other necessary support.
  • Community Engagement: Actively promote and participate in recreational and social activities, using New Communities company vehicles to facilitate client transportation.
  • Medication Oversight: As a Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA), monitor the medication administration room, ensuring adherence to all protocols and policies. Maintain accurate documentation and effective communication with healthcare providers.
  • Appointment Coordination: Organize and manage clients’ appointments, ensuring seamless coordination and communication between all involved parties.

Full-time Senior Direct Support Professional II (DSP II) position available in Norway, ME.

Rate of pay starting at $15.75/hr

Requirements:

Direct Support Professional (DSP) Requirements:

  • A high school diploma/GED required
  • Must be 18 years of age or over
  • Must have current 40-Hr Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) certificate with 3-5 years’ experience
  • DSP certification preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
  • Active driver's license is required
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with residents and coworkers whose primary language is English
