Job DescriptionJob Description

 

Impac Systems Engineering (ISE), a 32-year-old company specializing in Engineering Services, 3D Printing - Additive Manufacturing and PTC PLM / IoT, needs an experienced Sales Hunter to sell our PLM services and products.

The position requires several years of relevant experience selling 3D CAD and/or PLM. IoT experience is definite plus

Duties

  • Prospecting to find opportunities

  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations

  • Work with customers to assess needs

  • Secure orders and manage delivery

  • Help clients solve problems

You will use your interpersonal skills to prospect for new opportunities, work the opportunity then bring it to close. A Rolodex and Cold calling is critical

Once a prospect is identified you will prepare and deliver all sales materials that will include PowerPoints, brochures and samples. You will work with our technical team when needed. Delivery needs to be in person where possible. Presentations to large and small groups will be required.

After initial presentation, you will work with the prospect to closure. Keep in mind that all elements of a sales cycle must be complete for a sales effort to close. If only one item is not understood the deal will FAIL

Metrics – Relevant success of a similar project.

Economic Buyer – Who is going to write the check?

Decision Process – How are the decisions made?

Decision Criteria – How are buying decisions made and who made them?

Identify the pain – Why do they need?

Champion – The person you educate who will fight for you.

Compelling Event – A compelling event created by the situation or client.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. In lieu of, a Technical degree with significant sales and technical experience.

Important Qualities

Interpersonal skills. Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with clients, vendors and team members.

Problem-solving skills. Must be able to listen to the customer’s desires and concerns, then recommend solutions.

Self-confidence. Be confident and persuasive when making sales presentations.

Technological skills. Have extensive knowledge of the products and services to best explain their advantages and answer questions.

Compensation

Base plus commission.
