Job DescriptionJob Description

Thinkpath Engineering Services (TES) is looking for a Mechanical Designer to work onsite at a customer’s facility in Spokane, WA.  This will be a contract position expected to last at least 6 months.

The Designer position will provide engineering drafting, design, and technical support to facilitate the successful development of new systems and products, or modifications and revisions to current systems and products.

Job Description

·         Create/edit models and drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD software.

·         Create/edit BOMs, reference materials using SAP software.

·         Design various metal fabrication/sheet metal components and assemblies.

·         Detail products designed by engineers.

·         Update 2D and 3D models based off redlines and company standards.

·         Assists lab and production personnel with hands-on manufacture, assembly, and inspection of new/revised products (prototypes and first articles).

Qualifications

·         Associate/Technical Degree or equivalent experience

·         1 to 5 years of experience in mechanical design

·         Experience and proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD

·         Product development experience

·         Mechanically inclined

·         Military/defense experience a plus

·         Sheet metal/metal fabrication knowledge

·         MS Office

·         Must be a U.S. citizen
