We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our healthcare team.

In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for patient scheduling and registration, creating a seamless and supportive experience as patients navigate their healthcare journey.

As a Patient Services Representative, you’ll collaborate with patients, families, providers, and other staff to coordinate care efficiently and ensure a positive experience from initial scheduling to final billing. This role combines customer service excellence with administrative expertise to improve the well-being of our community.

salary: $19 - $22 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling & Registration: Interview patients by phone or in person, ensuring efficient scheduling and accurate registration. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, process authorizations as needed, and provide financial estimates using our Price Estimator Tool.
  • Financial Coordination: Communicate patient out-of-pocket responsibilities in a clear, patient-friendly manner. Collect co-pays and estimated expenses as appropriate.
  • Patient Experience: Act as a key contributor to our patient satisfaction initiatives by offering a positive, high-quality contact experience with each interaction. Provide patients with essential pre-visit instructions, financial information, and guidance to the Hospital Service Department.
  • Coordination & Communication: Answer incoming calls, manage appointment schedules, and monitor provider access issues. Report any issues impacting patient satisfaction to the Supervisor for resolution.

Must Haves:

  • High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office or medical insurance setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort navigating multiple applications
  • Ability to type at least 25 words per minute
