Responsibilities
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
The Medical Staff Coordinator manages and supports Medical Staff activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, improving workflow efficiencies, and providing leadership support.
- Coordinate Medical Staff activities to ensure compliance with Bylaws, Rules, Regulations, and accreditation standards while supporting committees and leadership.
- Develop and implement policies and workflows to improve departmental efficiency and meet regulatory requirements.
- Maintain effective communication with Medical Staff leaders and administration, and provide guidance on regulatory compliance and procedural updates.
- Assist with software selection, training new staff, and oversee department operations in the absence of the director.
Here’s what you’ll have:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Staff Coordinator in an acute care hospital
- strong knowledge of Joint Commission standards related to Medical Staff
- Experience working with Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules, and Regulations
- Proven experience in supporting Medical Staff functions, including coordinating meetings, drafting agendas, and taking minutes
