Key Responsibilities
  • Welcoming patients for appointments, scheduling/rescheduling appointments, and assisting with taking patient vitals and handling prescription refills as needed.
  • Collecting payments during service and assisting in maintaining patient demographic records and financial accounts.
  • Providing exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries, and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Collaborating with the clinical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Performing administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and photocopying, as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of medical office experience, preferably in a psychiatric or mental health setting.
  • EMR experience and proficiency in typing, filing, and basic computer skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
