Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a skilled Meraki Network Engineer on behalf of our client, a dynamic technology-driven company committed to delivering top-tier network solutions

This role is ideal for a proactive individual with a passion for designing, implementing, and managing Cisco Meraki network infrastructures. The Meraki Network Engineer will oversee the end-to-end management of the network, ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performance connectivity. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in Cisco Meraki products and a background in cloud-based network management, particularly within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.

This full-time, contract-to-hire role is remote but requires working hours aligned with Eastern Standard Time (EST).

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Network Design and Implementation:
    Design and deploy Cisco Meraki network solutions, including wireless access points, switches, security appliances, and cameras, tailored to meet the organizationâ?™s needs.

  • Cloud-Based Network Management:
    Utilize the Meraki dashboard for centralized device management, including configuration, policy implementation, and remote network monitoring.

  • Troubleshooting and Support:
    Diagnose and resolve connectivity, performance, and security issues. Conduct regular monitoring and maintenance to minimize network downtime.

  • Security Configuration:
    Implement and manage firewall settings, VPN solutions, and network security protocols. Maintain stringent security standards, including access control and content filtering.

  • Network Optimization:
    Optimize network performance through bandwidth management, Quality of Service (QoS) settings, and other fine-tuning techniques to enhance user experience.

  • Documentation and Training:
    Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations and updates. Provide training and support to IT staff and end-users to ensure effective network usage and troubleshooting.

  • Industry Trend Awareness:
    Stay updated on Cisco Meraki updates, features, and best practices to continually enhance network infrastructure.


What You Will Need:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer with specific expertise in Cisco Meraki products and cloud-based network management
  • Proficiency in the Cisco Meraki dashboard for configuration and monitoring
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols, VPNs, and network security principles
  • Experience with firewall and VPN configuration, and implementing network security policies
