Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist in Cleveland, Ohio, United States. This role is integral to our team, focusing on managing the end-to-end collection process, from sale to payment receipt, within our industry. The successful candidate will have a strong background in handling customer accounts, maintaining accurate records, and resolving inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the collection process from the time of sale to payment receipt.
• Communicate effectively with accounts that are overdue or surpassing their authorized credit limit.
• Conduct regular collection calls on accounts that are overdue or at risk.
• Issue collection letters, liens notices, and coordinate with legal teams in cases of bad debt collections.
• Evaluate credit requests of new accounts through credit reports, Better Business Bureau (BBB), credit references, and independent research.
• Obtain missing information for new account applicants and maintain all credit files.
• Generate, evaluate, and distribute accounts receivables aging reports for management and sales team.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams such as managers, sales, and HR.
• Build relationships with customers, third-party agencies, and attorneys outside the organization.
• Undertake other duties related to Accounts Receivable as assigned.

• Experience and knowledge of best practices with Debt Collection

• Ability to handle and resolve conflict resolution

• Must possess skills in Accounts Receivable (AR) management.

• Ability to handle Answering Inbound Calls professionally.

• Strong understanding of Collection Processes is essential.
