Key Responsibilities:

  • Review all conditions precedent to the filing of actions, including documents, financials, notices, and demand letters.
  • Draft and review correspondence and pleadings to initiate legal actions.
  • Update internal databases with recommendations, next steps, and essential documentation.
  • Monitor case progress and develop strategies to resolve files effectively and efficiently.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including those related to collection proceedings.
  • Analyze legal and factual issues in complex real estate matters.
  • Represent clients in various court proceedings, including mediation, status conferences, and motion hearings.
  • Advise clients on laws related to a broad range of relevant matters.
  • Handle litigation cases from initiation to completion.

Requirements:

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Ohio State Bar for at least 1 year.
  • 3-5 years of experience in collections law.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and effectively manage relationships.
  • Capable of handling a large workload with minimal supervision.

Compensation:

$37-$47/hr plus benefits
