Position: Revenue Cycle Specialist

Location: Richmond, Virginia 23235

Compensation: $40K to $43K annually, salaried

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm ONSITE

About the Role

As a Revenue Cycle Specialist, you will be an integral part of the business office. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing accounts receivable, aging AR, insurance follow up

  • Identifying, investigating, and resolving unpaid claims

  • Researching and submitting claims appeals

  • Accurately posting electronic and paper payments

  • Handling patient calls and communications with physicians and office staff

  • Data entry and other assigned duties

  • To excel in this role, you must meet accuracy and volume thresholds, demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn new procedures.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing, remittance posting, charge entry, and working with insurance companies

  • At least 2 years of proven experience in medical accounts receivable follow-up
