Job Posting: Temporary HRIS Specialist (3-Month Contract)

Location: San Francisco, CA
Pay: $45-50/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled HRIS Specialist for a three-month temporary assignment in San Francisco. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on problem-solving, data management, and system optimization while ensuring compliance with California wage and hourly regulations.

This opportunity arises due to organizational changes and system challenges. The company is currently navigating integration issues between Paylocity and Harri, and this role will focus on optimizing workflows, building out reports, restructuring position codes, and improving system functionality to streamline processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integration & Optimization:

    • Address integration challenges between Harri (labor management, timecard tracking, meal breaks) and Paylocity (HRIS, payroll, sick time accrual).

    • Restructure position codes, cost center codes, and workflow fields in Paylocity to improve system efficiency.

    • Document changes and identify impacted roles.

  • System Auditing & Restructuring:

    • Audit and update fields in HRIS platforms to align with best practices.

    • Ensure accuracy in data flow between systems.

    • Build reports and dashboards to track key metrics (e.g., promotions, sick/PTO accrual).

  • Workflow Development:

    • Create and document workflows for recruiting, pay increases, and performance management modules.

    • Collaborate with managers to ensure proper system access and compliance.

    • Test performance management modules as both a user and manager to ensure they meet expectations.

  • Communication & Training:

    • Communicate system updates and changes to managers and admins effectively.

    • Provide guidance on new workflows and processes to ensure adoption.

Must-Haves:

  • 5+ years of HRIS experience, particularly with Paylocity and other HRIS platforms.

  • Strong knowledge of California wage/hourly compliance and regulations.

  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.

  • Proven project management experience, especially in HRIS or payroll projects.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with Harri or similar labor management tools.

  • Familiarity with performance management module development and implementation.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
