We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Warren, Michigan. The role involves handling accounts payable duties in a fast-paced environment. The specialist will be tasked with maintaining records, processing invoices, and communicating with vendors among other responsibilities.


Responsibilities

• Accurately match vendor invoices with purchase orders and receipts using the PLEX ERP system

• Ensure timely and correct issuance of payments to vendors

• Enter vendor invoices into the Plex ERP system

• Monitor incoming email, invoices, correspondence, and maintain verbal communication with vendors

• Prepare all accounts payable disbursements according to company procedures

• Maintain and organize accounts payable records

• Utilize your skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Plex, and Plex Manufacturing ERP to ensure efficient operations

• Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies in vendor invoices and payments

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures.
• Experience with Plex Manufacturing ERP software.
• Ability to analyze and solve complex accounting issues related to accounts payable.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with vendors and internal departments.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under strict deadlines.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive company financial information.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of general accounting principles and regulatory standards.
• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
