Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. This role will require strong analytical skills, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with accounting principles and company policies.
Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies as needed.
Transaction Processing: Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
Tax Compliance: Assist with the preparation of tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights into financial trends and projections.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to management to improve financial performance and reduce costs.
Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial transactions.
Expense Management: Monitor and analyze expenses, ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately and within budget.
Software & Systems: Maintain and update accounting software and systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Other Duties: Perform other accounting duties as required, including reporting, data entry, and administrative tasks.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar financial role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
CPA or other relevant certification (preferred, but not required).
