As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining and processing the accounts payable function for our company. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that all invoices are accurately processed, managing payment cycles, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Process and code vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
Review, verify, and reconcile accounts payable transactions.
Maintain and update vendor records.
Prepare and process weekly/monthly payments (ACH, checks, etc.).
Monitor and follow up on discrepancies or overdue payments.
Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.
Respond to inquiries from vendors and internal departments in a professional and timely manner.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and audits as needed.
Support other accounting functions as necessary.
Requirements:

Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principles.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (experience with [Software Name] is a plus).
Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to handle high volumes of transactions with accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not required).
