Position Details:- Title: Outpatient Staff Pharmacist
- Location: East Palo Alto, CA
- Term: 13+ weeks (Ongoing Coverage)
- Schedule: Monday Friday, possible weekends
- Hours: Flexible, anytime between 8:00 AM 7:00 PM
- Contract Status: Signed, ready to start
In this role, youll play a key part in delivering exceptional patient care in an outpatient pharmacy environment. Your duties will include:
- Dispense Medications: Accurately fill prescriptions and provide patient counseling on proper medication use, potential side effects, and safety precautions.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care and treatment plans.
- Review Prescriptions: Ensure prescription orders are accurate, complete, and appropriate for the patient's needs.
- Maintain Patient Records: Keep accurate medication histories, track interactions, and update patient profiles as needed.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control, restock medications, and manage medication orders.
- Customer Service: Address customer inquiries and provide guidance on over-the-counter medications and health-related products.
- Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Active and Clear California Pharmacist License
- Recent pharmacy experience with a focus on patient care, medication dispensing, and consultation
- Outpatient pharmacy experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for patient care
- Flexibility to work varying shifts as needed, including potential weekends
- Flexible Schedule: Choose from 2-3 days a week with the possibility for more, allowing you to balance work and personal commitments.
- Ongoing Opportunity: This is a long-term assignment, offering consistent work for 13+ weeks with potential for future assignments.
