Job Description:
As the Payroll Manager, you will lead end-to-end payroll implementations with a strong emphasis on Workday processes. This position requires extensive knowledge of Workday Payroll configurations, as well as the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to execute seamless payroll transitions for clients. You will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency throughout the implementation cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of payroll implementation, focusing on Workday Payroll modules.
• Configure Workday Payroll to align with company specifications, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal payroll requirements.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the team throughout the implementation, providing clear guidance, issue resolution, and timeline management.
• Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to tailor payroll workflows and ensure accurate data migration.
• Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve payroll-related issues, continuously improving processes and configurations.
• Develop and document best practices and procedures for Workday Payroll implementations.
• Lead training sessions and provide post-implementation support to ensure clients are well-equipped to manage payroll processes independently.
Qualifications:
• Experience:
o 5+ years of Workday Payroll implementation experience, including configuring and optimizing payroll processes within the Workday system.
o Proven track record of managing payroll projects from start to finish, ideally in remote settings.
• Skills:
o In-depth knowledge of Workday Payroll, including complex configurations and compliance requirements.
o Excellent project management abilities with a demonstrated capacity to handle multiple implementations simultaneously.
o Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
o Effective communication skills, capable of building strong client relationships and working collaboratively with internal teams.
o Ability to proactively identify challenges and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
• Other: Must have a reliable internet connection and workspace suitable for remote work.
