We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our Commercial or Custom Home Construction team. This role is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from ground up new construction to commercial and retail spaces. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all stages of the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project management within the construction industry, with a particular focus on commercial projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from conception to completion.
2. Work closely with clients, architects, and engineers to define project requirements and develop detailed project plans.
3. Prepare and manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
4. Coordinate and supervise the work of construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with project plans and quality standards.
5. Conduct regular site inspections and meetings to monitor project progress and address any issues or challenges that arise.
6. Prepare regular project reports and updates for senior management and clients.
7. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and building regulations.
8. Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Project Manager in the commercial construction or home building industry.
2. Proven experience managing ground up new construction and commercial or residential projects.
3. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and quality standards.
4. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
5. Strong budgeting and financial management skills.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
8. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
9. A professional certification in project management (e.g. PMP) is an asset.
10. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to various project sites as needed.
