Volt is immediately hiring for a Documentation Specialist for a Food Manufacturing Company in Compton Ca

As an Documentation Specialist will:

  • Maintain high quality and correct errors on forms from various departments.
  • Review and ensure forms are complete and accurate.
  • Working closely with Quality Management, Identify and resolve compliance document issues.
  • Keep documents confidential and properly filed.
  • Support and participate in third-party audits.
  • Assist in investigating customer complaints.
  • Ensure compliance with allergen rules and label accuracy.
  • Follow GMP, food safety, food defense, and food quality regulations, and report any issues.
  • Adhere to job safety requirements and report any violations.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
This is a Full-Time, Temp-To-Hire Opportunity

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 2 years working in Food Manufacturing Environments 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science related field or equivalent relevant experience and education
  • Knowledge of food safety programs and regulations (FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMP, Allergen Programs).
  • Understanding of labeling regulations (FDA, COOL, Prop 65, Nutritional Warnings).
  • Experience with NLEA guidelines and ESHA Genesis for nutritional data.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Schedule: Monday to Friday 1st shift 9:00am-5:30pm

Pay Rate: $24 to $25.00 hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
