Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are inviting applications for the role of Quality Control Manager based in Monroe, North Carolina. This position focuses on the management of quality assurance in the shipping and receiving industry. The role offers a short term contract employment opportunity and involves interaction with multiple departments to ensure the quality and safety of products.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the company's food safety and HACCP strategy, staying updated about the best practices in the industry.
• Collaborate with production, sales, R& D, commercial, suppliers, customers, and supply-chain personnel on a regular basis.
• Represent the quality assurance department during visits to suppliers and customers as required.
• Collect and analyze data to assist in troubleshooting and verifying safe quality food.
• Use statistical analysis to identify areas requiring continuous improvement.
• Work with the Production Manager to develop and improve the company's quality culture on the plant floor.
• Conduct regular assessments of the Quality Management System in preparation for internal and external audits.
• Coordinate with R& D and Lab personnel to ensure the availability and maintenance of proper tools and calibrated measuring equipment.
• Review SOPs and Work Instructions for accuracy, relevance, and document control.
• Schedule meetings to collect information from all stakeholders relevant to the Quality Management System.
• Provide input in the weekly management meetings and accept the role of leadership at the facility to enhance teamwork, relationships, and performance.
• Manage response and closeout of non-conformances with proper documentation.• Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in a quality control management role within a manufacturing environment.
• Expertise in implementing and maintaining ERP solutions.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Word.
• Familiarity with GMail and other communication tools.
• Experience in defect management and resolution.
• Proficient knowledge of auditing methodologies.
• Ability to perform A/B testing and analyze results.
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Must be able to detect and resolve issues before they escalate.
• Familiarity with industry standard documentation and procedure.
• Able to create, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and policies.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with staff, clients, and suppliers.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Able to maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
