Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in prototype CNC machining and the ability to complete setups, tool changes, offsets, G&M code edits, and work independently. This role requires the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, perform quality assurance tests, and troubleshoot machinery issues. Openings are available on 2nd and 3rd shift.

Responsibilities
  • Read technical drawings and set up machines accordingly.
  • Use computer software to model cutting paths and program machines.
  • Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications.
  • Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality.
  • Consider tools required to cut particular materials and program machines accordingly.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance such as cleaning and sharpening.
  • Train new team members on proper CNC machine operation and programming.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
  • At least three years of experience as a CNC Machinist in a manufacturing environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Edit G&M codes.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Skill in interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems.
  • Ability to work independently and follow directions closely.
  • Positive and professional attitude.
  • Availability to work weekends and overtime as needed.
  • Experience in training and developing apprentice CNC Programmers/Operators.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with Haas machines and controllers.
  • Ability to program Mastercam from scratch.
  • Familiarity with EDM processes.

Work Environment

The work environment includes six buildings with various equipment such as 100-600 ton Progressive presses, Mig Welding Machines, and Orbit Forming machines. This is a typical stamping facility that can be loud and not the cleanest, but it is functional and efficient. The position involves second shift work from 2 pm to 12 am, with 50-58 hours per week including 8 hours on Saturdays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $79040.00

Benefits once direct. Lots of work from Toyota, weekly OT.
Getting some new work for GM coming in, but Toyota is keeping them busy
