Job Title: HR Manager
Location: Waterbury, CT
Job Type: Full-Time/ Direct Hire
Company Description:
We are a global manufacturer with an operational plant in Waterbury, Connecticut seeing to rebuild the HR team locally. We are seeking a dedicated and self-starting HR Manager who will oversee and manage all aspects of Human Resources in our plant. The HR Manager will be responsible for managing recruitment, training activities, safety, employee relations, leave management, and payroll oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all aspects of human resources, including recruiting, onboarding, safety, training, employee relations(Disciplinary Actions, Investigations, etc.), benefits, reporting, legal, and system knowledge. • Manage one payroll staff, overseeing all payroll functionalities • Monitor and ensure company's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. • Handle all benefits and leave oversight areas such as medical, FMLA, workers compensation, immigration documentation, etc.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree (highly recommended), preferably in HR or a related field. • Minimum of 3 years of Generalist experience in a manufacturing, automotive, distribution, or high volume/pace environment. • Experience in using Paylocity, ADP, Workday, Ultipro, etc. • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an HR role with all elements of employee relations, benefits, payroll, compliance and safety
• Proficient in HR administration and hiring processes
• Excellent communication skills
• Understanding of compliance regulations related to HR
• Experience with HR software and HRIS systems
• Demonstrable leadership abilities
• SHRM-CP or PHR certification would be a plus.
