Job DescriptionJob Description

Restaurant Depot, a national wholesale restaurant supplier, is seeking an experienced Receiving Manager for our Cross Dock facility in the Houston area. The candidate needs to have a flexible work schedule. This distribution center is a refrigerated warehouse. Candidates must have experience receiving incoming products, in particular perishable products. Ideal candidate should have receiving background from a retail supermarket, or similar big box type operations such as a supermarket. Incoming products are typically in large sizes and bulk quantities, and requires checking in goods with attention to detail.

1. Operations Management:
- Supervise daily activities of the picking and loading management within a cold storage facility.
- Monitor and ensure accurate execution of processes to meet operational goals, considering the challenges of cold storage.
2. Team Leadership:
- Lead, motivate, and mentor supervisors, and warehouse staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and coaching to address performance issues and ensure professional growth.
3. Performance Analysis:
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and evaluate the distribution center's productivity and efficiency in a cold storage context.
- Identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, and develop action plans accordingly.
4. Inventory Management:
- Collaborate with the Logistics team to manage inventory levels, monitor stock movement, and reduce carrying costs, taking into account the challenges of cold storage.
5. Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, especially within the unique cold storage environment.
- Promote a safe working environment by enforcing proper safety protocols and conducting regular safety training.
6. Process Improvement:
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, accuracy, and customer service within a cold storage context.
- Implement best practices, technology solutions, and automation to drive process improvements.
