Accounts Receivable Manager Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to join our team at Silver Eagle Distributors Houston LLC. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate billing, collections, and reconciliation of accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Billing Process: Oversee and manage the billing process to ensure accurate and timely invoicing to customers and vendors.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure that all billing procedures comply with company policies and financial regulations.
  • Develop Collection Strategies: Develop and implement effective collection strategies to manage overdue accounts and reduce days sales outstanding (DSO).
  • Handle Escalated Issues: Handle escalated collection issues and negotiate payment terms with customers as needed.
  • Perform Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations of accounts receivable and ensure that all discrepancies are promptly resolved.
  • Lead the AR Team: Lead and mentor the accounts receivable team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Prepare Reports: Prepare and present regular reports on accounts receivable performance, including aging reports, cash flow forecasts, and key metrics.
  • Analyze AR Data: Analyze AR data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Stay Up-to-Date: Stay updated on relevant accounting regulations and industry best practices. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts receivable function.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, preferred.
  • Experience: Five (5) years A/R experience with at least three (3) years of supervisory experience.
  • Skills: Intermediate Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.) skills. Experience with VIP or other distribution software platforms, a strong plus.
  • Physical Requirements: This role requires full-time, in-office attendance. Remote or work from home options are not available.
