You will have a strong background in managing complex medical malpractice cases, as well as extensive experience in legal research and document management. Job Details



Responsibilities:
  • Undertake comprehensive case management for medical malpractice lawsuits, which includes organizing and maintaining case files, tracking deadlines, and coordinating with attorneys and clients.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research to support case development and legal strategies.
  • Review, organize, and manage a vast array of documents related to medical malpractice cases, including medical records, expert reports, and other relevant case materials.
  • Assist in drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Coordinate and manage expert witnesses, including arranging for depositions and trial testimony.
  • Assist attorneys in trial preparation, including preparing trial exhibits and witness lists.
  • Keep clients informed on case progress and respond to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Remain up-to-date with changes in medical malpractice law and regulations.

Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or a related field is required. Certification as a paralegal is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in medical malpractice.
  • Proficient in document and case management software.
  • In-depth knowledge of medical malpractice law and legal procedures.
  • Exceptional legal research skills, with a proven ability to understand complex medical and legal information.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and legal research software.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
