About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal Associate to join our team at Freeport-McMoRan. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in supporting our attorneys and legal managers in day-to-day legal tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough legal research and provide accurate and timely information to support business decisions.
  • Manage deadlines and projects, ensuring seamless execution and timely completion.
  • Assist with maintaining entity status, entity formations, qualifications, and withdrawals, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Interface with outside counsel and other parties, maintaining effective communication and relationships.
  • Collaborate with co-workers and other department personnel to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Prepare legal documents, reports, and summaries to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in paralegal studies or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program.
  • At least two years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database programs, including SharePoint.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with corporate secretary matters and entity management.
  • Committed to professional development and training.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
