We are in search of a diligent Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in Bound Brook, New Jersey. As an HR Assistant, you will focus on offering comprehensive support to our HR department, playing a vital role in maintaining employee files, screening resumes, and assisting in various HR projects. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.


Responsibilities:

• Manage the backlog of employee files, ensuring they are up-to-date and properly maintained

• Conduct screening of resumes, assisting in the selection of potential candidates

• Assist in day-to-day HR tasks once the backlog is cleared up

• Contribute to ad-hoc HR projects as needed, providing necessary support to the HR team

• Ensure HR compliance protocols are followed in all processes

• Maintain and update personnel files in accordance with company policies

• Participate actively in the recruiting process, aiding in sourcing and screening of potential candidates.

• Possession of a minimum of 1 year of experience in a Human Resources role
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in HR Compliance
• Proficient in Personnel File Maintenance
• Proven experience in Recruiting
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Proficient in using HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong problem-solving abilities and initiative
• Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices is a plus.
