Grant Accountant

Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of grant accounting, including preparing financial reports, budget forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Ensure compliance with grant regulations and guidelines, including OMB Uniform Guidance and other federal, state, and private funding requirements.
• Monitor grant budgets and expenditures to ensure funds are used appropriately and efficiently.
• Work closely with program managers and other stakeholders to develop grant budgets and funding proposals.
• Prepare and submit financial reports and invoices to grantors in a timely manner.
• Reconcile grant accounts and prepare journal entries as needed.
• Assist with grant audits and provide documentation and support as required.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required; CPA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in a nonprofit or government agency.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including fund accounting and cost allocation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., NetSuite or Sage).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Employment Details:
• Temporary to hire
• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Hybrid schedule after training
Pay Details: $32.00 to $35.00 per hour
